Community First Promotes Mark Goatz and Carma Barksdale

 

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Louis Holloway, bank president for Community First Bank & Trust, recently announced two bank employees were promoted.

 

Mark Goatz

Assistant Vice President / Loan Officer

Mark Goatz has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer   Goatz, most recently served as Consumer Loan Officer for the bank, will continue to maintain his loan portfolio and help position the bank’s loan division for further growth.

 

“As a community bank, local lenders and local decision making are two critical factors for our customers today,” commented Holloway.  “Mark is an experienced and skillful loan officer who cares about his clients.”

 

Goatz joined Community First Bank & Trust in 2001.  He is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Finance/Business Administration and a 2000 graduate of Columbia State Community College with an Associate in Business. In addition, he is a graduate of Southeastern School of Banking and Southeastern School of Consumer Credit.

   

Carma Barksdale

Branch Manager, Thompson's Station

Carma Barksdale was also recently promoted to Branch Manager of the Thompson’s Station office. Barksdale joined Community First Bank in 2011.  Before joining Community First, Barksdale worked in the banking industry for over 20 years.  She worked the past fifteen years with Bank of America, including seven years as Assistant Branch Manager at the Lewisburg office. 

 

Barksdale attended the American Institute of Banking in Atlanta, Georgia and attended Calhoun Community College. She is active in the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce, Spring Hill High School Diamond Club and Raiderbacker Clubs and volunteers in several other community organizations.

 

“Carma’s twenty years of banking experience is an important asset to the Community First Bank team,” commented Holloway.
