Community First Bank Peanut Butter Drive a Success

The Community First Bank & Trust “Sticking Together for our Community” Peanut Butter Drive was a huge success! A total 2,336 jars of peanut butter, a value in excess of $5,000, were collected at Community First Bank locations in Maury, Hickman and Williamson counties and have been donated to local food pantries including The Family Center in Columbia, Helping Hands in Lyles and the Fairfield Baptist Church Food Pantry in Centerville.

The initiative was in response to The Family Center’s request to the community for donations due to the lack of food on their shelves to help hungry people in Maury County.  “We can stretch peanut butter a long way,” states Lolly Watson, Executive Director of the Family Center.  “It is an excellent source of protein for these youngsters heading to school.   This is community taking care of community!”

Community First Bank thanks employees, customers, local businesses and members of the community for their participation and for "Sticking Together" to drive out hunger!
