Kevin Hurt Receives Lantern Award
COLUMBIA, TN (June 16, 2010)
Marc Lively, President & CEO, would like to announce the first quarter Community First Bank & Trust Lantern Award winner, Kevin Hurt. Kevin started with the bank 5 years ago working as an intern. Previously Kevin had worked in manufacturing but decided to follow his interest in computers and studied through Columbia State Community College. Through a co-op program with Columbia State, Kevin was hired as an intern but quickly became a full-time employee as the Information Systems Technician within the IT department. Kevin is responsible for helping employees with problems that relate to all computer, printing, networking and general IT issues across multiple platforms and within Community First Bank’s 11 offices.
“Kevin is extremely dependable, friendly and knowledgeable in his job,” says Marc Lively. “You can tell how much our employees appreciate him just by looking at his nomination form.” Kevin’s nomination was unusual. In an effort to increase his chances of winning, employees passed his nomination form around and signed it in support, gaining over 40 additional signatures.
Kevin is the fourth recipient of the Community First Lantern Award. For more information on this program, please visit www.puttingcommunityfirst.com.
