United Way of Williamson County Recognizes Community First

COLUMBIA, TN (February 26, 2009) – United Way of Williamson County held their 2008 Campaign Awards Celebration Wednesday at the Martin Center in Brentwood.  United Way presented Community First Bank & Trust with the prestigious Circle of Caring Award.  According to the United Way website, this award “distinguishes company campaigns that are outstanding in the following key areas: organization and growth, level of corporate and employee giving, and year-round commitment to United Way programs”.

Community First Bank & Trust supports the United Way organization in each of its four counties: Maury, Williamson, Hickman and Rutherford. In 2008, Community First encouraged employee participation and donations by offering such incentives as one extra vacation day if they donate a full hour of their base pay per month resulting in a 73% increase in United Way donations in Williamson County over 2007 with an 83% participation rate among Williamson County employees.
